BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
The Manatee Bungalow features three (3) private and amply sized bedrooms including a large master with king bed, and en suite bath with double vanity and frameless glass shower with separate potty room. The second large king bedroom also has an en suite bathroom with a frameless glass shower enclosure. The third bedroom includes a fun set of bunk beds, with a twin bed on top and a full size bed on bottom. The third full bathroom is located in the hallway, just outside bedroom three. All bedrooms have generous closet and storage space, all new furniture and therapeutic mattresses to make your stay extra comfortable. Ceiling fans are mounted in the living room, as well as each bedroom to keep you cool. The living room has a new queen sleeper sofa with a Sealy mattress should you need extra bed space.
LIVING AREA AND ENTERTAINMENT
In the living area, enjoy a view of the tiki and 200 feet wide canal through the double sliding glass doors. The living area includes new furniture, including a new sleeper sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman. When you are ready to sit down and relax with your favorite show or sports program, you will find a new smart 55 inch HDTV located in the living room, and that each bedroom has its own flat panel smart TV. Log in to your favorite streaming service using your own account, or enjoy the included Hulu, including local networks. High speed internet access is included as well. Looking for some old school indoor fun without electronics? Manatee Bungalow has an assortment of board and card games for a fun family game night.
KITCHEN AND DINING
Manatee Bungalow has an all new open gourmet kitchen, with beautiful white cabinets and black quartz counters, which include a pantry for your groceries. In the middle of the open and large kitchen there is a huge walk around island, painted a tropical blue, with a carerra quartz counter and huge professional stainless sink. The island is great for entertaining, eating and sits four (4) comfortably. The brand new stainless range, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher compliment the kitchen and add style and convenience. Looking for a more formal dining experience? The kitchen is fully equipped with drinking glasses, wine glasses, pots/pans, chef's and steak knives, Pyrex, mixing bowls, serving utensils, a blender and more. Enjoy your meal at the dining table, which seats six (6), while taking in the view of the boardwalk and water.
OUTDOOR LIVING
Manatee Bungalow has an inviting waterfront back yard area, with a brand new large TIKI hut just steps from the sliding glass doors! Also FOUR KAYAKS to enjoy during your stay! On the water, you will find 35 feet of dockage for up to a fifty (50) foot boat, on a 200 foot wide canal. MB has ample space for cooking out, lounging or outdoor entertaining. Enjoy the breeze as it passes through the swaying palm trees and the thatched TIKI hut featuring a table for six (6). The tiki features new rope lights and a ceiling fan, and is decorated with fun island inspired decor. Unique to 7th Street is a boardwalk along the water where you can take a leisurely evening stroll, or go for a run. Don't forget to visit with the family of manatee who hang out behind the house. There are four comfortable Adirondack chairs on the boardwalk, as well as a DynoGlo gas grill to prepare your favorite meals. The front yard features ample parking for your vehicle and boat trailer, plus on street parking across the street.
BOATING, FISHING AND DIVING
Manatee Bungalow is located on a 200 foot wide canal in the beach friendly town of Key Colony Beach, Florida. Only a few minutes by boat to open water on the gulf or ocean side, the location could not be better for boating, diving, or fishing. MB is only a short ride to Sombrero Light House and the beautiful reef, which has buoys for easy hookup so you can snorkel and dive without anchoring. In addition to Sombrero, and Coffins Patch, there are lots of other reefs or sites for fishing and diving until your heart is content. MB has a dedicated bait freezer for your convenience, as well as a fish cleaning table with water to prepare your catch after a successful day of fishing.
CABANA CLUB AND BEACHES
With your rental of the Manatee Bungalow, you and your guests receive access to the Cabana Club, which is walking distance or a short bike or car ride from MB. Cabana Club is a landmark and social tradition here in Key Colony Beach, featuring an Olympic size pool, full bar and food service, live entertainment and private beach. The kids also love the Cabana Club's ice cream snack shop. Sombrero Beach also has a beautiful public beach, and is located on Marathon near Publix just a few miles down US 1. Last, but not least, enjoy the sunset at Sunset Park, also located on the west end of Key Colony Beach.
KEY COLONY BEACH
The Manatee Bungalow waterfront cottage is located in the charming village of Key Colony Beach, Florida. Key Colony Beach is its own municipality, is super clean and self contained, and is surrounded by water for true island charm. You can ride bikes and walk most everywhere on the island. There is a playground, tennis courts and a Par 3 golf course directly across from the cottage. MB will have information on bicycle rental, kayak rental, local eats, fishing and other attractions located inside in a handy guest notebook, as well.
BEYOND KCB
Even as unspoiled as KCB and the quiet neighborhoods around Manatee Bungalow feel, a quick drive down the Sadowski Causeway will take you over to Marathon where you will find public boat ramps, tourist attractions, Aquarium Encounters, Publix, Home Depot, restaurants and shopping. Want to go a little further? Take a scenic drive over the 7 Mile Bridge and visit Bahia Honda park. Key West is only fifty (50) miles down U.S. 1, and is the southernmost point in the U.S. , and has lots of shopping, bars, restaurants and the famous sunset festival every night (check local info).
